Our Cabins
Tucked away in our grounds, a short stroll from the main house, our six cabins sit around the wild swimming pond, beside the walled garden and wellness area.
Each is a suite of its own, with a super-king bed, a sitting area and a drench shower. Out on your deck, light the firepit, take a dip in the pond or warm up in the sauna. Select cabins have outdoor baths, and some are dog-friendly.
Mulberry *(dog friendly)
In the early 1600s, around the time Boys Hall was being built, King James I urged landowners to plant mulberry trees in the hope of starting an English silk trade. The silk never quite took off, but the trees remained, and their dark, juicy berries have stained the fingers of foragers ever since. This cabin borrows the mulberry’s rich colours: dusky berry-red walls, raspberry drapes and glowing burnt-orange velvet, softened by warm oatmeal and woven textures.
Your own private suite, with a relaxed living area, a sumptuous super-king bed and a bathroom with a generous drench shower. There’s no television; instead, choose a record from our collection, sit back and let the evening unfold. Step out onto your deck, light the firepit and look out across the wild swimming pond as the stars come out.

Hawthorn *(dog friendly)
The hawthorn is woven into English folklore. Its frothy white blossom, known simply as “May”, has heralded summer for centuries, and by autumn its branches are hung with deep red haws for the birds. Long believed to be a gateway to the fairy realm, it was always considered unlucky to cut one down. This cabin takes its cue from the hawthorn’s hedgerow greens, scattered with berry-red lampshades, warm mustard and rust velvet.
Each cabin is a suite in its own right, with a comfortable living area, a super-king bed and a bathroom with a drench shower. Put on a record in place of the television and take a moment to unwind. Your private deck, with seating and a firepit, looks out over the wild swimming pond, perfect for a slow morning coffee or an evening under the stars.

Surprises can sometimes be unwelcome for an unsuspecting hotel guest but Boys Hall, a wisteria-clad, grade II listed manor on the outskirts of Ashford, is unexpected in the best possible way.

Oak
No tree is more English than the oak. Slow-growing and long-lived, an oak can stand for a thousand years, sheltering hundreds of species along the way, from jays burying acorns in autumn to owls nesting in its hollows. This cabin is bright and grounded, with soft cream walls, a moss-green sofa and golden curtains the colour of turning leaves, finished with touches of copper and blush.
Settle into your own suite, with a living area, a super-king bed and a bathroom with a drench shower. Rather than a television, a record player and a hand-picked selection of records set the mood. Outside, your private deck and firepit overlook the wild swimming pond, a quiet spot to take in the gardens or stargaze late into the night.

Ginkgo
The ginkgo is often called a living fossil: it has barely changed in over 200 million years and once grew alongside the dinosaurs. Its fan-shaped leaves turn a brilliant butter-yellow each autumn before falling almost all at once, carpeting the ground in gold. This cabin is gentle and warm, with blush-pink walls and an olive sofa, lifted by bursts of marigold velvet and pale powder blue.
A suite of your own, with a cosy living area, a super-king bed and a bathroom with a drench shower. There’s no television here; instead, browse the records, drop the needle and switch off. Your private deck has seating and a firepit, with views across the wild swimming pond and the night sky above.

Elder
The elder is the hedgerow’s gift. In early summer its creamy flowers are gathered for cordials, and by autumn its branches droop with clusters of dark berries. Folklore held that an elder planted by the door would keep evil spirits away, so it was rarely cut. This cabin echoes the elder’s leafy greens alongside warm mustard and ochre, with deep berry-red accents and rich rust velvet.
Your own private suite, with a living area, a super-king bed and a bathroom with a drench shower. In place of a television you’ll find a record player and a curated collection to listen to and unwind with. Out on your deck, gather round the firepit and gaze out over the wild swimming pond or up at the stars.

Cobnut
Kent has been famous for its cobnuts since Victorian times. This cultivated hazel thrives in the county’s orchards, and its nuts are picked fresh and green in late summer before ripening to a rich, golden brown in autumn. This cabin celebrates our Kentish roots, with golden sand walls and a hazelnut-brown sofa, set against blue-teal and dusky rose with warm ochre textures.
A suite to call your own, with a relaxed living area, a super-king bed and a bathroom with a drench shower. There’s no television, just a record player and a stack of records to listen to at your own pace. Step onto your private deck, light the firepit and enjoy views over the wild swimming pond, a lovely spot to watch the sun go down and the stars appear.
